Wifi

There is Wi-Fi available throughout the venue, but the speed varies depending on the number of users. If your carrier is local to the region it will probably have a faster connection, and we appreciate if you use this instead. The less people who use the WiFi the faster it will be for those who need it. Thank you!

The café area offers possibilities to recharge your devises. Bring your charger!

You will be served good food!

You will be served a light breakfast in the mornings, lunch every day, and dinner on Thursday 6th of November (at the Official Afterparty). All food served at Øredev is vegetarian or vegan. We are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment, and a plant based menu is one of our strategies. If you have any allergies or diet restrictions and didn't include the information when registering, please contact us as soon as possible.

Coffee, tea and water are available throughout the day.

Free Luggage Storage

You will find free and manned storage facilities at the entrance of the conference hall. Here you can store common items, such as jackets, backpacks or suitcases. We ask you to please leave any larger items at your hotel if possible, as there is limited space. The luggage storage facility cannot be held responsible for any losses, and we do not recommend that you store valuable items here.

Language

The official language of the conference is English.

How to get here

By train: There are plenty of trains to Malmö from Sweden, Norway and mainland Europe. The venue is only a short walk from Hyllie train station, a 8min train ride from Malmö Central. Trains within Sweden can be found via SJ and Skånetrafiken operate trains from Denmark and Skåne.

By plane: We recommend the Copenhagen Airport which is served by more than 60 carriers, operating services to and from 125 cities world-wide. Take the train from the airport and 11 minutes later you arrive at Hyllie train station, the first stop in Sweden, which is only a short walk from the venue.
The Malmö Airport is another option, from there you can take a 30 minute bus with Flygbussarna to Malmö Triangeln and then the train to Hyllie.

By bus: Flixbus offers budget travel options to Malmö from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and mainland Europe.

By car: There's plenty of parking close to the venue. You can pay via app (EasyPark or Parkster) or by card at the machines. Map of parking in the area

By bike: From Malmö city to Hyllie is only about 20min by bike. Pick up a bike at a rack anywhere with Malmö by Bike

What should I bring?

As you gear up for Øredev 2025, remember to pack essentials like a portable charger to keep your devices powered throughout the day. November in Sweden can unfortunately bring fluctuating temperatures and often rain, so layer your clothing for comfort. And don't forget comfortable shoes for all the walking and standing you'll be doing.

Accessibility

We are committed to making Øredev an inclusive experience for everyone. Our conference venue is fully accessible, featuring wheelchair-friendly facilities and a hearing loop system to support those with hearing impairments. We also welcome personal assistants or companions; simply contact us to make the necessary arrangements. If you would like to use the hearing loop system, or if you require any other accommodations, please reach out to us in advance and let us know how we can support your experience. At Øredev, everyone is part of the conversation.

Electricity

The electrical current in Sweden is 220V/50 Hz. Round, european style two-pin plugs are used. Appliances designed to operate in 110/120 V need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.

Shopping

The conference hall is located across the street from one of Scandinavia's biggest shopping malls Emporia. There is even an Apple Store there!
In Malmö city the stores are generally open between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm on weekdays and between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm on weekends. Some department stores stay open until 8.00 pm daily.

Disclaimer and insurance

Øredev accepts no liability for any injuries/losses incurred by participants and/or accompanying persons, nor loss or damage to any luggage and/or personal belongings. Participants are advised to take out their own personal insurance.

Passports and visas

Attendees are advised to make their own arrangements with respects to entering Sweden. If you require an invitation from the conference in order to apply for a visa please contact us via email and include a proof of payment for your conference pass, your passport details and any other information that is required. Please note that no invite can be issued without a proof of payment.

Prices

Choose a 1, 2, or 3 Day Conference Pass and choose which day(s) you will attend when you register. The prices are in SEK (Swedish krona) and exclusive of V.A.T.

Hotel bookings are only available in combination with a 3 day conference pass.

The buddies-offer is the best deal - Book your ticket with a friend or colleague, share a hotel room with separate beds and split the cost of the hotel!

Payment options

All prices are in Swedish Krona (SEK) and excl. VAT. You can choose to pay by credit card or by invoice with a 30-day payment term.

Hotel

We have a partnership with Malmö Arena Hotel, which is located across the street from the venue. When you buy a 3-day conference pass you have the option of including 3 nights accommodation in a standard room, including breakfast, wifi & access to the gym.

Please note that this option is only available when booking a 3-day pass.

Check-in Tuesday from 15:00, check-out Friday before 11:00.
When you buy a ticket including hotel Øredev will handle all the details, you will only receive a confirmation from Øredev and there is no need for you to be in contact with the hotel directly.

Cancellation policy

Please note that once the registration has been made and the confirmation email has been sent out, the registration fee is non-refundable. In case of illness or unforeseen circumstances, ticket(s) can be transferred to a colleague without any charge, just contact us.

Öredev AB will carry out the event with respect to participants' health and follow current restrictions and regulations from the Public Health Agency of Sweden. You can get a full refund if we postpone or cancel the event or have to limit the number of participants. You can as well get a full refund because of national or international restrictions or state enforced quarantine.

VAT

According to Swedish regulations from Skatteverket, we must charge Swedish VAT on the ticket price (25%) and the hotel price (12%) to all attendees, both Swedish and International companies.

Please contact us or Skatteverket directly if you have any concerns about this regulation.
The regulations from the EU Commission states that Article 53 in the VAT directive should be interpreted so that the term ”Access to events” includes a service of an event or course which is only provided to taxable persons and which requires registration and payment to be made in advance. Taxation country is the country where the event or course takes place and this applies regardless of who the buyer is.

Group discount

10-14 participants → 10% discount
15 or more participants → 15% discount

*The group discount is only valid on regular 3 days conference pass, and only on the ticket price.

Keep hydrated: Use the water fountains at the venue to fill your bottle and drink plenty of water.

We go on until late: On the evening of Thursday the 6th Nov, it's time for the official after party. Dinner will be served and we'll party!

Times like these: Each talk is 40 mins long with the exception of keynotes, which are 60 mins.
