David Pulkrabek & Tomas Brandalik, SUN Microsystems, Czech RepublicDavid Pulkrabek has been at Sun Microsystems since May 2005. A Software Engineer in the Sun Java Wireless Toolkit Team, he has worked on JSR 229 (Payment API) implementation and also on Mobile Services Architecture Reference Implementation (JSR 248 - MSA RI). He has also contributed to JSR 172 (Java ME Web Services), JSR 280 (XML API for Java ME) and the Sun Java Wireless Toolkit overall. Since April 2007, David has been working on the CDC Toolkit and has been contributing to the architecture and integration of JSRs. David also had been presenting on JavaOne and Sun Tech Days.
Tomas Brandalik worked 5 years in GIS bussines as an application developer for local ESRI distributor. At SUN he worked for as a QA engineer in various Netbeans projects (RMI, JDBC, Mobility Pack). Last 4 years he is software engineer in Sun Java Wireless Toolkit team and worked on releases 2.5 - 2.5.2. His main interests are Location Based Services, SIP, Mobile Internationalization and GUI design. Tomas had been presenting on JavaOne and Sun Tech Days.
A Closer Look At Java ME SDKJava ME SDK is the successor to the Java Wireless Toolkit and it is the first
and only SDK to integrate CDC and CLDC. It is also the first and only SDK to
be fully MSA compliant. In addition, it implements the Mobile Sensors and
advanced XML processing API's. The Java ME SDK emulator runs on the
same VM that SUN makes available to manufacturers. This results in a much
higher fidelity emulation. Fidelity is further enhanced by one-click, on-device
debugging. The new Java ME SDK also reduces cost and time spent on
functional testing by supplying an automated testing framework. To see
